The Student Alumni Associates of the College of Charleston was organized during the fall semester of 1984 under the direction of Tony Meyer. The organization was created for the primary purpose of giving tours of the campus to prospective students and serving the College.

Over the years, the Associates have continued their work with the College. The student organization has expanded in membership number as well as in their support by working with the President’s Office, Alumni Association, and fellow student organizations. The Student Alumni Associates are now the official student marshals for all major College events and are one of the premier student organizations on campus.

With a diverse and exceptionally bright membership base, SAA will continue to fulfill its purpose with a renewed energy and vigor unrivaled by any other group on campus. The Student Alumni Associates look forward to the new challenges and opportunities of the upcoming year.
